Band Marginal: party band with a rock heart from the Antwerp Kempen

Band Marginal is a party band with a rock heart. Eight musicians from the Antwerp Kempen, who have been on stage together since 2004. By now they have more than 1,000 concerts to their name, with around fifty being added every year. You can tell from the way they build up an evening: they know when a room is ready to shift up a gear.

The show

A Band Marginal performance lasts ninety minutes and runs without a break. The repertoire consists of rock classics whose choruses everyone knows, party anthems and singalongs, supplemented with modern hits and nostalgic favourites. It is a mix that gets several generations onto the dance floor at the same time.

What makes Band Marginal recognisable is what you get to see. The band is known for its costume changes: dozens per performance, from what they themselves call a container full of tacky outfits. Add to that special effects and moments the audience doesn't see coming. Rock clichés are delivered with plenty of love and humour. The result is an explosive live show in which watching and singing along are just as important as dancing.

For which events

The band itself mainly plays at weddings, corporate parties and festivals. That is reflected in the diary of the past two seasons: funfairs, summer festivals and village fêtes, street markets, summer concerts in a park and a series of corporate parties. Whether you have a marquee full of funfair-goers or a staff party, the concept stays the same: a party where the band sets the pace.

Practical information

Band Marginal can be booked in Flanders, Brussels, Wallonia and the Netherlands. The band comes with its own plug-in set and its own in-ears, and travels with two sound engineers and one lighting engineer. Important for your planning: the lighting and the front-of-house sound system themselves are not included. You provide these as the organiser, or you discuss it with us in advance. Where they recently played

In 2026 Band Marginal performed in, among other places, Geel, Laakdal, Vorselaar, Halle, Malle, Dessel, Brecht, Lede, Ninove, Rijkevorsel, Herentals, Boortmeerbeek, De Haan, Sint-Niklaas, Hoogstraten (Minderhout), Blankenberge and Turnhout, and across the border in Hulshorst (the Netherlands). In 2025 they played in, among other places, Merksplas, Hoogstraten, Beerse, Schilde, Zoersel, Retie, Grobbendonk and Wijnegem. It concerns a mix of funfairs, festivals, street markets, benefit events and corporate parties.
