Back To Amy: tribute to Amy Winehouse, featuring the complete album Back to Black

Back To Amy pays tribute to Amy Winehouse. October 2006 saw the release of Back to Black, the album that made her known worldwide. Three years earlier there had been her debut Frank, with clear jazz influences. In 2026, Back to Black turns twenty, and the band has built its theatre show around that.

The band

The frontwoman is Andréa Wielockx, who brings both voice and presence as close to the original as possible. She is joined by two backing vocalists and a band with drums, keys, bass and guitar. A three-piece horn section, with trumpet, alto sax and baritone and tenor sax, gives the songs the sound that was part of Amy's live performances. Together, there are ten people on stage. The show is supported by projection. The band sets its own benchmark at Amy's live sound: not just the familiar studio versions, but the way she brought those songs to the stage, with horns and backing vocals included.

The theatre show

The theatre performance is a seated show of two times 45 minutes. In it, Back To Amy plays the complete album Back to Black, supplemented with other strong songs that Amy Winehouse performed live. At the height of her career she mixed jazz, soul, R&B and ska in her concerts, and you can hear that mix in the performance too. The repertoire ranges from her biggest hits to lesser-known songs.

The show is made for theatres, cultural centres and venues where the audience sits and listens. If you are programming a concert series or an evening in which the music itself takes centre stage, this format is a good fit. Two sets of 45 minutes also leave room for an interval in your venue.
