The Tramplers

"The Tramplers" is not only the title of an iconic Italian spaghetti western from 1965. No, "The Tramplers" are also an energetic cover band, born out of a close-knit group of friends with a shared passion for music, their home base Vorselaar, a nice cold beer now and then, but above all a deep-rooted friendship.

The band's frontman (Gert Geentjens) is a born entertainer whose stage presence even makes Robbie Williams pale in comparison. He is surrounded by a powerful line-up: a tight bass (Wim Lemmens), fiery guitar (Tom Ballon), atmospheric keys and a swinging saxophone (Roel Vaneerdewegh). The backing vocals come from a drummer (Dirk Thijs) who not only keeps time, but whose dynamic playing style also sets the band's rhythm – music was, after all, in his blood from day one.
